Task One: Performance of SIX the Musical

- style: how accurate was your interpretation of the choreography and execution of the style you were working with.

I am so proud of myself and everything I have worked for to achieve what had been done tonight, we had standing ovations in both shows which was fantastic as it felt like what we had spent so much time working on was received and loved. I am so great full for the opportunity to of got one of the principal roles and to put my own spin on it. Before this show I could never of imagined that I would have the confidence to be singing in front of hundreds of people as that is an area of myself where my confidence wavers but I did it and I am proud. I am also very grateful for the rest of the queens as i believe we all helped each other with our nerves and before very performance we would go into the corridor and have a quiet moment to ourselves and practice our harmonies and do vocal warmups. I got lots of feedback after each show from friends and family and to my surprise from lots of people who I didn’t know who came up to me to congratulate my performance, this was really wonderful as it is to be expected from people you know but to hear it from strangers really warmed my heart. My interpretation of the choreography was exactly that and interpretation I took the choreography and became confident with it and then gave it my own spin, adding bits and pieces here and their that fit and made sense with my character. The actual style of dance that was for my solo was Hip-Hop and two key features of this is to be grounded and fluid, i think in my performance i succeeded in making sure my body was doing this and i danced with those features in the forefront of my mind. I believe that the overall performance was to a high standard and am very thankful to everyone involved.
